GOV. BRAUN INVITES TRAVELERS TO CAPTURE PERFECT FALL MOMENTS IN INDIANA

Visit Indiana launches new fall getaway hub featuring harvest festivals, scenic drives, foliage guides, family farms and more must see fall attractions across the Hoosier State.

INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 3, 2026) – Governor Mike Braun is inviting Hoosiers and visitors from across the country to experience fall in Indiana as the Indiana Destination Development Corporation (IDDC) launches its fall tourism campaign featuring must-see destinations, seasonal attractions and travel ideas across the state.

According to the latest Longwoods International tracking study of American travelers, 74% of Americans are planning a fall day trip or overnight trip in the coming months. Of those fall travelers, 48% report that visiting friends and family is the primary purpose of their trips, followed by enjoying cooler weather and seasonal scenery, both at 35%.

Indiana is home to roughly 300 agritourism destinations per the Indiana State Department of Agriculture. These destinations burst with activity each autumn. Fair Oaks Farm turns one of the nation’s largest dairy operations into a fall playground with family-friendly activities, farm tours, and on-site seasonal treats. Beasley’s Orchard in Danville offers hayrides, corn mazes, and outdoor attractions including an apple cannon. While local tasting rooms, wineries, and distilleries like Huber’s Orchard & Winery in Starlight, invite visitors to savor fall flavors against a backdrop of rolling vineyards.
Across Indiana, fall festivals and leaf‑peeping are timeless seasonal traditions showcasing the state’s brilliant reds, oranges, and golds. The Parke County Covered Bridge Festival, held October 9–18, 2026, celebrating 31 historic covered bridges with 10 days of arts, crafts, food, and scenic drives through peak foliage. Meanwhile, Brown County State Park, Indiana’s largest at nearly 16,000 acres, draws visitors to panoramic overlooks, winding trails, scenic roads.

"Every fall, thousands of visitors come to Indiana to experience the changing leaves, our state parks, orchards, festivals and small towns and as an outdoorsman, I understand why,” said Gov. Mike Braun. “This is one of my favorite times of year to get outside and enjoy our state.
